York Turbo Modulator System 400HP 300 KW SCR Power Controller. We assume this was designed as a power controller for a 400 horsepower HVAC chiller based on the size of some of the components be we don't have confirmation of that.. The image above shows the control interface connectors on the side of the cabinet. The image below shows the control electronics inside the sub-panel on the front door. The image above indicates only 18,811 running hours. The image below shows inside the front of the cabinet. There are some capacitors and relatively smaller fan cooled power electronics in the lower section. The mid-section has 3 poles of primary SCR power electronics with heat-sinks. The current transformers are toward the top. The image above is a closer look at the lower section. The image above is looking down into the top of one of the SCR power modules. You can see a stud type diode at the top, a thermal switch attached to the heat-sink and a hockey puck type SCR to the bottom. The image below is a close view of one of the current transformers.
