Subject: Pair of project boxes, electronics project box
Two identical metal project boxes with hinged lids. Box description: Box measures 7” long x 5.88” wide x 1.5” tall. The pivoting cover is held closed by a pair of detents or even more securely by two binder head screws in the sides (included). The box has four rubber feet to protect your working surface and contains five ¼” tall threaded standoffs for mounting a circuit board. One face of the box has a standard cut-out for a 68 pin high density connector. The cut-out measures 2.125” wide x 0.283” tall with a screw hole center distance of 2.30”. The other end of the box has an opening measuring 2.785” wide x 0.890” tall. At this opening is a pair of padded metal plates screwed to ½” tall threaded standoffs. The pair of padded metal plates can be used to clamp a circuit board to strain relieve threaded wire connections or even to strain relieve ribbon cable that you might want to bring into the enclosure. The boxes are very sturdy; the painted steel (magnetic) sheet metal measures 0.038” thick. The boxes are labeled, National Instruments UMI-7764. We took the circuit boards out to mount in our own custom enclosure to save space. Now they are available to you for your projects!
