We just bought out a long time Phoenix surplus electronics distributor. Offered items are not ROHS compatible or compliant. These are some of the heavier duty of the finest brand of solid state relays available. Older Opto 22 Model 5002 is usable to 120 volts ac and 25 amperes of load, contolled by a low level isolated dc control signal of 12-32 volts. Similar devices sell new for $28 upwards. Used units were received by us and RFE disassembled from traffic light controllers. Each SSR has been carefully tested by us at 110 volts 60 watts and 17 volts dc input. Very minor RFE screwhead cosmetics may be present. We fully guarantee all units to perform absolutely as new. The input is isolated to 4000 volts. Zero voltage switching is provided which is free from pop and click transients but does not allow lamp dimming or phase control. May be used on incandescent or resistive loads or on inductive loads above an 0.5 power factor. Internal snubbing provided at full current for 0.5 pf or higher loads. Heatsinking is required for higher current loads, along with suitable thermal grease or films. See the manufacturer's web site for further application guidelines. Input control voltage range is 12 to 32 vdc. Making these ideal for high noise automation and shop floor uses. Note that a simple additional input interface (such as a NPN transistor and a wall wart power supply) may have to be added for compatibility with 5 volt microprocessors.
